Activity 2:North and South

North and South

In Auckland it is really loud but sometimes it gets quite you feel like you're in paradise.
Some house's are tall, some are huge and some houses are so wide its like a huge swimming pool.
There are furious dogs that bark so loud they sound like sirens.
Something really special about Auckland is  that it has really nice neighbors.
The neighbors are so nice that they are like friends when you get to know them better.

Thanks for Reading comment down below what hometown you're from.

  1. Kia ora Sarah,

My name is Rachel and I am working with Megan and Cia on the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. It is great to see that you have already completed two of our activities from this years' programme. Like you, I also live in Auckland. I'm really sorry to hear that you have such loud dogs living in your neighbourhood. I live out in the west end of Auckland in a place called Titirangi. We don't often hear that dogs barking but we do hear the birds in the trees singing early in the morning. We also tend to hear our cat, Jackson, meowing loudly every day around 6:00 a.m. He likes to wander into our room and meow incredibly loudly. If we don't get up he will jump on our bed and meow right beside our ears until we get up and give him breakfast. Sometimes it drives me crazy!

Do you happen to have any pets at your house? If so, I hope that they are much quieter than Jackson!

Hope that you are able to hop back online and join the learning journey this summer. We'd love to read your work and post more comments on your blog.

    All the best!

    Rachel (and the SLJ team)
